Move over iPod, the Samsung Galaxy 4.0 Android is finally giving you some competition. The Samsung Galaxy mp3 player has the option of a 4″ or 5″ screen, with a touch screen display that is as good or better than the iPod display. It also has a microSD slot which makes it expandable up to 32GB or more depending on how many expansion cards you use. The super-clear LCD touchscreen has a WVGA (800×400) resolution.
There are also front and rear facing cameras for pictures, video, and video calling. This player is Wi-Fi enabled and is powered by the Android operating system. So far this player is the best Android mp3 player out there, and will probably be our #1 pick for 2011. Android fans know that the Android marketplace offers more apps than any technophile could possibly use, and will someday match or surpass the selection of iPhone apps being offered.
This player also has built-in GPS and bluetooth hardware. The battery has a fairly long life that should last the entire day. This player is actually thinner than an iPod, yet it offers the option of a 5″ viewable screen, which makes it small enough to carry in your pocket, but being able to have that extra viewable area makes a difference when browsing the web or playing games.
Samsung has consistently created quality cell phones and touch screen displays, they have now upped the game with this Galaxy mp3 player. It also comes in white and may even look better than the iPod, the earphones are definitely better. This is the Android mp3 player to look out for.
